Hi! My name’s Aravind and I’m from India. I work full time during the day and work on the website as my personal project in the evening. I’m also applying for doctoral studies in ‘fire safety science’.
I keep the contents on the website free for one reason. I was—and continue to be—benefited by free resources myself. Specifically, drawabox (for drawing) and practicaltypography (for typography). And then there’s wikipedia.
The website development and hosting charges are covered through patreon. When the time comes that I can’t at least meet these costs sustainably, I will have to take down the website. No hard feelings—even charity doesn’t work that way.
I get a lot of satisfaction in developing the website and I hope it does justice to the ones I was inspired by.
